Hartford Gay Men’s Chorus to Perform Annual Holiday Concert in December

Hartford, CT – November 7, 2016 – The Hartford Gay Men’s Chorus will perform its annual holiday concert, A Wish Come True!, at 8 p.m. on Friday, December 2, and Saturday, December 3, at the Aetna Theater at The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford. A matinee performance has also been added at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 4.

The 50-member chorus will be accompanied this year by a percussion ensemble. A Wish Come True! will include “Festival Gloria,” “O, Come All Ye Faithful,” “Betelehemu,” “Jingle Bells,” and many more holiday and seasonal favorites. The Hartford Gay Men’s Chorus A Cappella ensemble, On That Note! – led by Music Director Justin Gazard – will perform “What Child is This?,” “White Winter Hymnal,” and “Last Christmas.”

The Hartford Gay Men’s Chorus is now celebrating its fifth season. Founded in 2012, the 50-voice ensemble has been recognized for its musicianship, creative programming, and community outreach. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Winslow and Executive Director Robert Reader, the Chorus performs a wide range of music, ranging from classical to Broadway. The primary mission of the Hartford Gay Men’s Chorus is to serve as a catalyst for enriching and educating both its members and audiences to demonstrate the many ways that music can positively impact our world.
