“I have friends and family who push their kids away from dance, gymnastics, theatre, and into sports, even if their kids don’t have much organic interest in it. This could not be more wrong. Dance takes as much practice, good cheer, sportsmanship, and fitness as any of the other sports.”

“The producers of a show about the Salem Witch Trials invited us to see their take on the subject matter, and I volunteered to put up and see whether they could land the airplane on a comedy about this. Beyond passing that test, the comedy was, for me, hit-and-miss.”

“There are 20 film adaptations and some remarkable performances to note, namely Alastair Sim, Bill Murray, and, Jim Carrey, among many other live-action and animated versions. So why is the one featuring the Muppets the definitive ‘A Christmas Carol’ movie?”

“Theatre fans will celebrate the 4th of July in part by watching Hamilton on Disney +, and hopefully, non-theatre fans will give it a watch as well. It is a beacon for those that are looking for ways to explain history using modern music and diversity. But, when it comes to musicals that celebrate history, we shouldn’t forget 1776 either.”
