“Why are BIPOC Artists not given the same benefit of the doubt? Seriously you still can't be blind at this point to the double standards that happen far too much in this Industry.”

There is the scapegoat comment that I have heard a lot of theatre professionals say to actors and actresses for years and years now: To be grateful or thankful for the opportunity every time an issue arises and a performer speaks up about it. I think that is such a stupid and outdated thing to say.

“There is something I am noticing which I find very bizarre - there is this wave of artists on social media who are getting attacked and criticized for leaving New York City during the pandemic.”

The news just went out that Colleen Ballinger, who is famously known for creating the internet sensation Miranda Sings, will be making her Broadway debut as Dawn in Waitress for a four week run from August 20th through September 15th. I think that is wonderful.

Audrey Cardwell is currently starring in the National Tour of Bright Star where she is playing the central role of Alice Murphy. She has also appeared in the national tours of Cinderella (Ella), Anything Goes and Elf and has been seen regionally at The Old Globe, Asolo Repertory Theatre, The Muny, North Shore Music Theatre, Houston Theatre Under the Stars, Dallas Summer Musicals and Pennsylvania Centre Stage.
