You’ve probably seen it: at the end of a play about some kind of tragedy, every character in the play starts interlocking monologues that individually paint their own pictures but which add up to a bigger picture, and the audience is often forced to move their heads around like their watching the worst game of tennis ever. I can see why playwrights would do this, but I think it is hurting plays.

Yet, in typical professional theatre industry fashion, the powers-that-be decided to overlook egregious behavior and declare that talent trumps unethical behavior, no matter how vile.

The Argentinian Prostitute Play puts an unknown, female-driven story on an off-Broadway stage.  It is a complex immigrant story, a feminist story, and one where women escape their male oppressor in a time where their independence is difficult to grasp on to. 

It is more important than ever before that we continue to have strong females on the stage, as directors and on creative teams in the theatre.

All men, women, gender-fluid and gender non-conforming people alike should feel comfortable expressing themselves any way they'd like, primarily through dance.

Yes, unfortunately the state of the theater has become a disaster and it does not look like there is a rescue team on the way to clean up and revert back to a civilized manner.
