COME FROM AWAY's Chad Kimball Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Broadway veteran Chad Kimball announced on social media that he has tested positive for coronavirus. He stated on a Facebook post:

“I got tested for the Coronavirus on Tuesday. My test came back Saturday morning and I am positive for COVID-19/Coronavirus. I feel a bit better now, save a mild headache, congestion and residual cough. It kinda comes in waves.”

He also encouraged people to take precautions seriously. “Please take every precaution by social distancing and washing your hands”, he stated. “If you are young and feel fine, know that you could have Coronavirus and be asymptomatic. Know that you could easily spread this virus to a loved one who is compromised, or someone you don’t know who might not be strong enough to fight it off.”

Mr. Kimball is the second Broadway actor to announce his positive test today. MOULIN ROUGE’s Aaron Tveit also announced he has tested positive.

Mr. Kimball originated the role of Huey Calhoun in Memphis in 2011 and his performance earned a nomination for Best Actor in a Leading of a Musical. He most recently appeared in the original cast of Come From Away.

In his Facebook post, Mr. Kimball asks that fans donate to his sister who is making masks for healthcare workers. They can donate here.
