I love Center Stage. There I said it. And I'm not ashamed to admit it either. It is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. If I pass it on TV, I can't stop watching it until I see everyone clapping around Jody to the piano version of "We're Dancing."

The question of whether Jody got into ABC is ultimately the question “Do artists have the power to change the way gatekeeping happens in their industry?” And I think that’s a great question. It would be too easy to imagine that Jody would have gotten into the company just like it’s too easy to cover up the real problems in our industry by saying “if you work as hard as you can you can break down any door!”
