In the past week, many businesses across the country have taken precautions to prevent damage to their buildings. However, one theatre company in Oregon decided to spray paint their own building in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

“The professional and amateur theatre industries in the small European country are resuming thanks to some smart safety measures that might make sense for the United States to follow.”

According to FEC filings, in 2018, eight Broadway power players such as James L. Nederlander and Broadway League President Charlotte St. Martin, donated to the campaign of GOP Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri. Questions from these donations are arising due to Sen. Blunt’s long record of restricting the rights of women, BIPOC’s and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

“White allies, your BIPOC pals are the director, and they have some notes for you.”

Sometime in the not-too-distant future, there is going to be an incredible performance on Broadway that everyone will be talking about. Obviously, this quality of performance will be looked at as an awards favorite. And this is where this performer and performance will break the Tony Awards. Because this performer identifies as non-binary and they’re playing a non-binary role. And the Tonys have no idea how to recognize that.
