New York Review: "Back To The Garden" at Axial Theatre/GoJo Productions
“This provocative play certainly gives one lots of food for thought, even if you don’t bite the apple. The witty dialogue and modern quips will keep you entertained, and you’ll learn a thing or two about what God is thinking.”
CT Review: "A Shayna Maidel" at Playhouse on Park
‘“A Shayna Maidel” is a remarkably smart and sensitive play, with beautiful performances and a highlight of the season.”
New York Review: “Broken Story” at the Gene Frankel Theatre
‘“Broken Story” has many interesting aspects and is decently acted aside from a few over the top moments here and there, but it feels, much like the murder at the beginning of the story, unfinished. I hope that this story is explored further and I look forward to seeing it develop even more.”
London, Ontario Review: "The Runner" at the Grand Theatre
“This is not the whimsical song of rose-cheeked von Trapp children skipping over mountains escaping Nazis. Christopher Morris and Daniel Brooks’ project is a harsh and blinding invasion of hypocrisy – the audience is not meant to be comforted.”
Dallas Review: “Side Show” at the Firehouse Theatre
“Firehouse Theatre’s production of “Side Show” crafts an evocative and uniquely-immersive theatrical experience for audiences. Under the direction of Linda Leonard, the talented cast aptly explores this heart-wrenching tale of love and deceit inspired by the true-life story of conjoined twin performers, Violet and Daisy Hilton.”
Broadway Review: “The Sound Inside” at Studio 54
Adam Rapp explores and mines the “shadow lands of the inner psyche” in “The Sound Inside” leaving those who watch and listen scores (think music) of rich and enduring questions about “time and space, the distant past, and the infinite future” and suggests, perhaps, the journey might be accomplished with redemption and release “on the other side.”
Off-Broadway Review: “Macbeth” at the Lynn F. Angelson Theater at Classic Stage Company
“Less is more,” could possibly be the mantra of Mr. Doyle’s recent endeavors but this incarnation of Macbeth is more or less distorted and inconsequential.
Los Angeles Review: "The Thanksgiving Play" will Jolt You
The actors in Larissa Fasthorse’s satirical “The Thanksgiving Play” is filled with a lot of uncomfortable moments.
Toronto Review: ‘Let’s Run Away’ Canadian Stage
Mr. MacIvor came across as personable, witty, intelligent, articulate and sensitive during the talk back. I liked that portion very much.
Did I gain any further insight into the play? I wished I had.
Broadway Review: “Tina – The Tina Turner Musical” at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre
The show is not perfect, but it is certainly a felicitous tribute to a brave woman who beat the odds and rose to stardom because of her talent and determination.
West Coast Review: Lady Gaga Ooh-La-La Jazz & Piano Show
Walking out onto the Park MGM stage, Lady Gaga has the audience “Rah-Rah-Ooh-La-La” as she sings stripped down versions of her award winning songs at a white Grand Piano.
Toronto Review: 'Uncovered: Stevie Wonder and Prince’ The Musical Stage Company
“Whenever I’m out to review, I always have my notebook in hand to write ideas down if a thought comes to me during the performance. I just decided to close the book, put the pen away and just sit and listen.
Was I disappointed? Absolutely not.”
Toronto Review - 'Don Giovanni' -Opera Atelier
Conductor David Fallis beautifully guided the diverse orchestra right from the luscious overture. As majestic as the music was, it was also entertaining to see some playful banter between Fallis and some of the artists on stage.
Toronto Review: “Almighty Voice and His Wife” at Soulpepper Theatre
An impromptu question and answer period for students from London Ontario’s Western University (my alma mater) thankfully provided much needed information for me to appreciate Daniel David Moses’ “Almighty Voice and His Wife”. The text is challenging
Off-Broadway Review: “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf”
This iconic and relevant work is for women, primarily women of color navigating their way through an often antagonistic world, making life-and-death decisions about survival and future.
Toronto Review: "Ghost Quartet" Canadian Premiere
“Ghost Quartet’ was eerie, surreal, ethereal, puzzling, captivating and beautiful.” It was an auditory and visual experience of the highest degree for me, indeed thanks to the intimate setting of the studio theatre setting.”
Broadway Review: “The Rose Tattoo” at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway
“It is a smart revival that is fresh and certainly highlights the wonderful and skillful performances of Ms. Tomei and Mr. Elliott who ensure a great evening of entertainment.”
St. Louis Review: "Dear Evan Hansen" National Tour
I would recommend this show for those who like modern shows with deep messages and tough subject matters. If you’ve ever felt forgotten or misunderstood there is a scene for you in many parts of this show. It truly is an amazing piece of art that will have you thinking and feeling uplifted also at the end.

‘“Dracula” at Theatre Three is a must-see, original work sure to excite the senses of horror fans and deliver the perfect accompaniment to crisp fall evenings in the DFW area.”
Dallas Review: Theatre Too Presents “The Bippy Bobby Boo Show”
“As the days grow shorter and the nights colder, ghosts, goblins and ghouls once again emerge to delight, entertain and inspire. Recently, these creatures of the night haunted the Theatre Too stage and treated audiences to a surreal, bizarre, and exceptionally entertaining performance of “The Bippy Bobby Boo Show.”’
